We collect personal data that is necessary for us to provide you with our Service. The data is collected lawfully and fairly, for purposes directly related to our functions as an academy management platform.

We collect the following types of personal data for the specified purposes:

Technical Data We automatically collect data such as your IP address, browser type, and device information for security purposes, to prevent fraud, to analyze service performance, and for troubleshooting.

4. How We Use Your Personal Data (DPP3 - Use of Data)

We only use your personal data for the purposes for which it was collected, or for a directly related purpose, unless we have your explicit consent for a new purpose. Primarily, we use your data to:

  • Provide and Manage the Service: Operate the BootcampBoss.io platform, including managing user accounts, bookings, and schedules.
  • Communicate with You: Send you important administrative information, service announcements, and support messages.
  • Ensure Security: Protect the security and integrity of our platform, our users, and our business.
  • Emergency Contact: Use your contact details to reach you or designated contacts in an emergency situation as required by your academy.
  • Service Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to understand how our Service is used, helping us to improve its features and functionality.

Our third-party providers include:

  • Cloud Hosting: All user data is stored on secure servers provided by Kamatera, located within their Hong Kong data centre zone.
  • Email Services: We use SendLayer to send service-related emails (e.g., booking confirmations) and, with your consent, marketing emails. We share your email address with SendLayer for this purpose. SendLayer also helps us understand engagement with our emails.
  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics to help us understand user behaviour. We share anonymized technical and usage data with them. This information cannot be used to identify you personally.

While our primary data hosting is in Hong Kong, some of our third-party service providers may process data outside of Hong Kong. In such cases, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and the requirements of the PDPO.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our Service. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us to:

  • Keep you logged in during a session.
  • Remember your settings and preferences.
  • Secure your account.
  • Collect analytics data to understand and improve our service.

10. Your Rights Under the PDPO (DPP6 - Data Access & Correction)

Under the PDPO, you have the right to:

  • Request Correction: Ask us to correct any of your personal data that you believe is inaccurate.
